The one who stayed

Come back to the one who stayed
Stayed right here while you flew away
Can’t be that hard to find your way home
After all this was the only place you were ever known

Come back dear don’t waste my time
Tomorrow’s almost left behind

(Can’t wait for you forever longer)

Fading

There’s a light that’s fading
Heavens praying hard.
I can’t seem to grasp on to my own heart.

So many feelings
I don’t know where to start
Is it really impossible to fill in all the parts?

I never seem to hold my destiny
All my steps lead to someone else’s dream.
I think it’s time for You to finally find Me.

Can You be the hope I need?
Sing to me my own relief
You can see the depth in me
Call me back, bring me to peace

There’s a fight I’m losing, but who is there to win?
I can’t seem to think of a single name
My heart is bruising, won’t You come and fill it in?
Bring me back the future I once was in.

Empty

I catch a glimpse of laughter
When I close my eyes
A beauty of a child’s dream
That comes to pass you by

I set a prayer into the night’s glaze
Hoping it will reach
Past the brightest star so high
Past my deepest disbeliefs

I can’t stare into the future
I can’t change the days I’ve past
I can’t stand this shallow ease of nothing
That lasts and lasts and lasts

Empty Life
Empty Glass.
